Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 11/03/2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Mad Bicycle Spares website and to the purchase of goods from us through our website.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By using our website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Us

This website is operated by Mad Bicycle Spares.

Trading name: Mad Bicycle Spares

If you need to contact us, please use the contact details above.

2. These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern:

  • your use of our website; and

  • any contract for the sale of goods by Mad Bicycle Spares to you.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

3. Products

We sell bicycle parts, spares, accessories and related goods.

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications and pricing are accurate. However:

  • images are for illustration only;

  • packaging may vary from that shown;

  • colours may vary depending on your screen or device; and

  • compatibility information may be general and may not cover every bike, model year or modification.

It is your responsibility to check that a part is suitable and compatible with your bike before ordering.

If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact us before purchase.

4. Orders

When you place an order, this is an offer to buy goods from us.

After you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This does not mean your order has been accepted.

A contract is formed only when we accept your order and dispatch the goods.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit any order, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • there is an error in the price or description;

  • we suspect fraud, misuse or unauthorised activity; or

  • we reasonably believe the order breaches these Terms and Conditions.

If we cannot accept your order, we will notify you and refund any payment made.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices shown on our website are in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.

Prices shown at checkout are the prices payable at the time you place your order, subject to any obvious pricing errors.

Where applicable, prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown separately before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering using the payment methods offered at checkout.

6. Pricing Errors

We try to ensure all prices are correct, but errors can occur.

If we discover an obvious pricing error before dispatch, we may cancel the order and refund any payment made, or contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed at the correct price.

7. Availability

All products are subject to availability.

We do not guarantee that all items listed on our website will always be in stock. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we may cancel the order in whole or in part and refund the unavailable item.

8. Delivery

We will aim to dispatch and deliver your order within the time stated at checkout or in our delivery information.

Delivery times are estimates only unless expressly stated otherwise.

We are not responsible for delays caused by courier issues, customs, weather, strikes, incorrect address details supplied by you, or other events outside our reasonable control.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full for the goods and any applicable delivery charges.

9. Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are a consumer buying online, you may have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after the day you receive the goods, subject to any legal exceptions.

To exercise this right, you must tell us clearly within that period that you wish to cancel.

After telling us, you must send the goods back to us within 14 days.

You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.

You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop, but if the value of the goods is reduced because they have been handled more than necessary, we may reduce the refund to reflect that loss in value.

For bike parts, handling beyond what is necessary will usually include, for example:

  • using a part for diagnostics;

  • fitting, installing, mounting or attempting to fit the part to a bike;

  • causing tool marks, grease marks, scratches, wear, damage or missing packaging; or

  • returning the part in a condition that is not resaleable.

Where a returned item shows signs of fitting, attempted fitting, diagnostic use, wear or damage beyond what is necessary to inspect it, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from the refund, or to refuse a discretionary return where the item is no longer resaleable.

This clause does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

10. Returns for Non-Faulty Items

If you wish to return a non-faulty item, you must contact us first and follow our returns instructions.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • returned within the applicable return period;

  • unused except to the extent reasonably necessary to inspect it;

  • not fitted, installed, or used for diagnostics;

  • complete with all original packaging, instructions and accessories; and

  • in a condition suitable for resale.

Unless we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning non-faulty items.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we are not responsible for returned items lost or damaged in transit.

11. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

If goods are faulty, damaged, not as described, or not fit for purpose, please contact us as soon as possible with:

  • your order number;

  • the item name or part number;

  • a description of the issue; and

  • clear photographs where possible.

We may ask you to return the item for inspection before deciding whether a refund, repair, replacement, partial refund or other remedy is appropriate.

If we confirm that the goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, or sent in error, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your legal rights.

12. Refunds

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method.

For valid consumer cancellations, we will refund the price paid for the goods and the basic outbound delivery cost, but not any upgraded or express delivery cost chosen by you.

We may withhold a refund until we receive the goods back or until you provide satisfactory evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Where permitted by law, we may reduce the refund if the goods have been handled more than necessary to inspect them.

13. Compatibility and Installation

It is your responsibility to ensure that any part ordered is suitable for your bike and intended use.

Any fitment advice, compatibility guidance or technical support we provide is given in good faith based on the information available to us and the information provided by you, but it remains your responsibility to verify compatibility before installation and use.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, we recommend professional installation of components where correct fitting is safety-critical or technically complex.

We are not responsible for loss, damage, injury, or performance issues caused by incorrect fitting, improper use, unauthorised modification, lack of maintenance, or use of incompatible parts, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Warranty and Manufacturer Guarantees

Some goods may come with a manufacturer’s warranty or guarantee.

Any manufacturer warranty is provided by the manufacturer, not by us, unless we expressly state otherwise.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any manufacturer warranty.

15. Promotions and Discount Codes

From time to time, we may offer promotions, discount codes or special offers.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • only one discount code may be used per order;

  • discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • discount codes cannot be applied retrospectively; and

  • we may withdraw or amend a promotion at any time where reasonably necessary.

16. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website.

You must not:

  • use the website for unlawful purposes;

  • interfere with the website’s operation or security;

  • introduce viruses, malware or harmful code;

  • attempt unauthorised access to our systems; or

  • copy, scrape, reproduce or exploit content from the site for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or operational reasons.

17. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, graphics, layout and branding, is owned by or licensed to Mad Bicycle Spares unless otherwise stated.

You may view and print content from the website for your own personal, non-commercial use only.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, adapt or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

18. Privacy and Cookies

Your use of our website is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use and protect personal data and how cookies and similar technologies are used on the site.

19. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • breach of your statutory rights as a consumer; or

  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of goodwill, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with your order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the goods in question, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

20. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to courier delays, industrial disputes, natural events, acts of government, supply chain disruption, power failures or internet outages.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remainder of the Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

22. Waiver

If we delay or fail to exercise any right under these Terms and Conditions, that does not mean we have waived that right.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The version in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may bring legal proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where you live, where applicable.

If you are a business customer, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by law.
